The ewa-marine A-FR housing was specifically designed for the Sony PMW-F5 and PMW-F55 cameras, the replacement cameras for the Sony PMW-EX3.The housing is rated up to 10 meter depth or 33 feet.
Designed specifically for the F5 and F55 camera the housing A-FR is manufactured from double laminated PVC film and has an integrated, optically neutral flat glass port. The camera can be carried by an integrated tube or the carrying straps which allow the user easy handling of the camera inside of the housing. A large tube is integrated in the housing for the side-mounted view finder.
The battery and 4K adapter ( AXSR5 / CA-4000 ) fit nicely in place.
The housing is closed by a pair of non-corrosive and seawater resistant clamping rails with four knob screws which fit together for perfect sealing. It is important that the area of the closing rail is always clean, especially the clear film of the housing.
Straps at the bottom of the housing allow weights to be attached for perfect buoyancy under water. Either chose normal dive weights or the weights we offer as accessories.
The A-FR housing is perfect for snorkeling or shallow diving, sandy, dusty, humid or foul weather conditions. This housing will give your camera the best possible protection whilst being fully operable.
Designed specifically for the Sony PMW-F5 and PMW-F55 cameras, the ewa-marine A-FR underwater housing is manufactured from our special, double laminated PVC and has an integrated, optically neutral flat glass as a front port. With this housing you will receive a set of adapters that fit the filter threads of the most popular lenses on the market today. By means of this adapter the camera is then docked into the housings front port, ensuring that the lens remains parallel and centered behind the front of the lens. Just as if it were a clear, neutral optical filter.
It has a pair of non-corrosive and seawater resistant clamping rails which fit together for perfect sealing.They tighten by means of five screw knobs.
The A-FR housing is limited to the following lens (PL-Mount) specifications:
- For lenses with a maximum length of 180mm / 7.09 inches
- For lenses with a maximum diameter of 107mm / 4.21 inches
- For lenses with a maximum filter thread diameter of 95mm
** Lenses that have a larger filter diameter than 95mm are currently not supported with this housing.**

Actually, it's not in a box at all. We sell this unit in a handy, black, nylon carry bag. This bag is ideal to store and transport your ewa-marine housing, it also helps reduce unnecessary packaging-waste and as such is part of our amain to help the environment.
